Most of these are gang members killing gang members. In those cases they are doing us a favor. They are like cockroaches and the more of them that are exterminated the better.

The city of Memphis is and has been out of control for years. The police force does not have their priorities in line. They are too busy transporting prostitues to Tunica, sitting on interstates hoping to catch a speeder, and just driving around fast for no reason without their lights or sirens. I witnessed a domestic assualt happen back in 2010 and two hours went by and not one cop showed up to the scene. It is a disgrace that shootings happen as often as they do here. Whether it be someone walking out of a club after having a fun night or a repo-man just trying to do his job to provide for his family. Crimes like this are unacceptable and blaming it on guns is irresponsible. The people who have these guns are the problem. If they didn't have guns they would have other weapons to harm people with. Until the streets are cleaned up and citizens of Memphis are made aware that this is unacceptable I do not see things changing. These bad people have to stat getting arrested and put away and our police force has got to stop turing their backs on these situations. Otherwise, not only this city but this country is going to be destroyed by hate crazed individuals that have no business on the streets.

So, what's new? Residents of Memphis, and visitors alike, are well advised to keep their sidearms close at hand while in the city. Motorists (and pedestrians) should keep a sharp eye out for recklessly operated police cruisers, with and withour their blue lights and sirens in operation.
