MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police are searching for several different suspects after three armed robberies in 10 minutes across the city. Investigators do not believe the robberies are related.
They happened on Saturday night, November 24.
First, police say a man in a Halloween mask robbed Tammy's Adult Bookstore on East Brooks Road. The suspect pulled out a gun and shot at a customer, but no one was hit. The suspect then robbed the cashier and took off.
The second robbery was at the Family Dollar in the 3600-block of Lamar Avenue. Investigators say two armed men pointed a gun at the cashier. She opened her register and they took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The third robbery was a couple minutes later at the Dollar General in the 2700-block of Frayser Boulevard. Police say the robber showed a gun, then grabbed money from the cash register. The cashier told officers the suspect calmly walked out of the store and then took off across the parking lot.
