Education should be a commodity, like anything else. The government shouldn't even be involved. The only reason it is, is because people want to be able to have as many kids as they like, yet pass the costs to educate them onto others. Until you're willing to write a per child check, go away.

Quote "In Millington, officials plan on appealing the election on the sales tax issue, which lost by just three votes. One way or the other, Joyner says, if you voted for the school districts, you were authorizing the communities to raise your taxes. “If you choose to form a municipal school district,” he says, “you are actually saying you’re willing to take a fifteen cent property tax increase. If you voted for both you said yes, we want a municipal school district and we’re going to fund it with a half cent increase in sales tax.” I live in Millington and voted in Millington . I voted for the new school district but with the wording of the tax vote I voted against it. It should have been rolled into one vote . Now if we do not get the schools Millington has our permission to raise taxes. Do you think any of the cities are going to pass that up even without any schools. Lets look back at the three year wheel tax we voted in for education ,did that stop after three years? Is the money going to education?

I see parents still aren't willing to put up the money to educate their brats. They want someone else to.
