Most of NRA's money comes from corporate donors, contrary to the claims of Wayne LaPierre. To say that they are not connected with gun sales is a right wing lie, straight out of Fox News. The very organization has morphed into a shill group for gun producers, thanks to Wayne LaPierre himself. The NRA doesn't sell guns, John. These school shootings make up a fraction of one percent of gun related killings int his country. The govt.s own research shows that gun control laws have zero effect on the murder rate. Big clips? I can pop a ten round clip in and out of my 9mm so fast you won't believe it. It helps when these nutcases know they're in a gun-free zone.

Well we have several police officers and cars at a school on rains and crumpler. From what i see, they are useless, they do not control the taffic of kids at the intersection, kids stop in the middle of intersection and traffic does not move, or if male cops they are checking out the females. So this is a waste of time, but these are Memphis cops, tho not all are bad cops.

The NRA just wants to sell all those guns and ammo to all of the schools. They do not care about anything but profit. They are using the Sandy School massacre as a marketing ploy. The only ones pushing big clips and assault weapons and cop killer bullets is the NRA and the Republicans. Hunters are not afraid of losing their hunting guns. jb

If criminals were dealt with harshly enough to suit their crimes there would be far less NEED for some sort of security plan. You can't hide forever, & you can't protect yourself against every threat. It does not matter WHAT weapon the cowards use; a knife, axe, or homemade explosives; at least you would have a possible CHANCE to prevent the crime from escalating.

No No NO! There are already too many cops, enFORCEing too many nanny BS laws. I would ALWAYS prefer an armed teacher or parent than another cop with a bad attitude, a tazer, gun, and the mindset that I MUST BE OBEYED..,,

Can America take the economic shock of placing armed officers in every school in the country? And if that is possible will potential wackos just move to another venue to murder our children? These deranged killers’ intent is to kill as many as possible before a deterrent arrives. I agree with the NRA’s suggestion to have teachers (highly trained) present with concealed weapons. Let’s also give immediate attention to our mental health epidemic - whether environmentally or drug induced.
