Nephew Charged in Deadly Restaurant Stabbing

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police arrested the nephew of a man stabbed to death in a north Memphis restaurant Tuesday night.

Officers were called to Oleo's Home Style Cooking at Willis Street and Chelsea Avenue around 5:45 p.m. on May 15. When they arrived they found 67-year-old Leo Miller with a stab wound to his chest. The victim was transported to The MED in critical condition, but was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Witnesses told investigators that the victim and his nephew, 56-year-old Lloyd Miller, got into a fight and Lloyd grabbed a knife and stabbed his uncle.

Lloyd Miller is charged with Voluntary Manslaughter. He is being held at the Shelby County Jail on $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court May 17.
