You shouldn't take this stuff personally. You need to consider that there are a LOT of parents that don't give a damn about their children's education and are basically horrible parents. They are just desperately trying to find a way to reach these deadbeat parents in order to save these unfortunate children.

This is unbelievable!!!! If there is a need for contracts between parent and child, they shouldn't be parents. Children today have too much control over the wrong things in their lives. It is the responsibility of parents to send the child to school, monitor their progress in school and their safety at school. It is the child's responsibility to attend school without being tardy, behave, be respectful of themselves, the teachers, other students and obedient in class and perform assignments as instructed. In my opinion, there is no need for the state to create this contract. Its another meaningless piece of legislature. What a crock.
