SSDD in memphis...... I thought the city "leaders' said crime is DOWN...?!?!? Is it ANY wonder people are wanting to get their CCP's? The police can only show up AFTER something has happened....

Car break-ins are nothing new in Memphis. Especially when the goods are left out in plain sight. Some are even foolish enough to advertise (boast) on their windows what brand of stereo they have installed. In times of economic toughness, it is wise not to leave valuables on the street side with only a thin glass separating then from the desperate. I remember back in the 70's when CB's became a craze and everybody had them installed. There were rashes of car burglaries then also. Even our local movie cinema wasn't safe, as my parents found out the hard way!

I was going to suggest a neighborhood watch but I'd bet the farm someone in Memphis would tag it 'racist' At least their not coming any further than the drive so far. Maybe hire some off-duty MPD

This is a clear indication that the classes should not integrate...and this is not speaking about race. That part of town used to be decent, upstanding, and had a very low crime rate, if any at all. Now the projects are torn down and here comes the section 8 with their crime and their peers...what's more sickening is that the welfare class who is committing the crimes are being fed and taken care of by their their tax-paying victims.
