Obama Taking 23 Actions Aimed at Gun Violence

Banning "assault" rifles has been tried and failed. Banning cocaine, meth, heroin is still being tried, and is failing. What part of this can't you people understand? The legislation only penalizes LEGAL gun owners. It doesn't affect criminals. Criminals don't take safety courses, or apply for permits. They don't buy their own guns at stores. So this whole 'action' has nothing to do with gun violence. It's a charade. Religion and goldie need to get some eduacation. These guns they want to ban are semi-automatic. So is my .22 cal rifle. And my .45 cal handgun. Semi-auto is semi-auto. Furthermore, do either of you know the #1 murder weapon in the USA is? Hammers and clubs. Of murders committed by firearm, do either of you know the percentage killed by 'assault' style weapons? Less than 2%. Again, this is all a charade, and won't lower the death numbers. For the record, I'm not a member of the NRA. I have no interest in owning an assault rifle. And yes, I am aware 20 children were shot to death. By an obama supporter, using a stolen assault rifle, in a gun free zone.

it would be nice if some of the liberals quoting on this page actually could explain the diffence between an " assault rifle " and any other semi-auto rifle. please tell me how one is more deadly than the other??? idiots.

Strange how everyone seems to be ignoring ReligionStinks' comment. I'm amazed how this, like every issue, seems to be catagorized as a left vs. right political issue. Don't you anti-liberal folks understand that this is the result of a bunch of children being murdered?
