OLIVE BRANCH, MS (abc24.com) - Olive Branch Police are investigating if gang members could be behind the recent burglary of a gun store.

The Gun Exchange was robbed early Tuesday morning when someone backed a Ford Expedition into the store and stole 18 guns.

"Usually in Olive Branch, you are not seeing 18 guns taken at one time," said Major Tim Presley with the Olive Branch Police Department.

Presley said investigators are looking for a dark colored Ford Expedition, and are looking into several reports a similar SUV was recently stolen in Memphis.

"It is possible that it is some type of gang element, we don't know, gang members are typically looking for firearms," he said.

At the Gun Exchange, Jeff Duncan isn't taking any chances when it comes to security.

"We are putting in some steel posts, and we got a roll-down cage coming so we're just doing all we can," said Duncan. "You just have to deal with circumstances you are dealt and play ball. So, that's all we're doing."
