OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. (AP, abc24.com) - Olive Branch public works crews will begin picking up Christmas trees curbside next week to have them mulched.

One truck will be devoted to the pickup. The used trees will be delivered to Yardworks Recycling Inc., which will grind the trees into mulch.

All decorations, including tinsel, must be removed from the tree for it to be recycled. Crews will pick up trees all week beginning Tuesday.

Hernando also is recycling trees, but instead of being reborn as mulch, they will be used as fish habitat in Arkabutla Lake.
