Joggers and others who use the back trails of Overton Park are being told to be careful. A Memphis man was mugged while walking through the old forest trails Sunday. Police were able to arrest two suspects by tracing the signal of the victim's cell phone. Despite the robbery, people are being encouraged to use the park more frequently.

It is a shame that govt. programs ENCOURGAGE them to spawn more, 'nomercy'. You cannot provide everything for everyone; it simply is not possible. That won't stop them from trying, though. Giving people everything does NOT provide incentive for them to better themselves; eventually they actually begin to expect it, & think they deserve it.

this problem has to be stopped at the source- stop government funding Bastar* babies. ( one and done ) if you are on entitlement programs supported by descent taxpaying citizens you should NOT have the right to have as many as you like. after the first one the mother and father ( if known ) should be sterilized. within a decade the population of these types of people should be somewhat under control.

I was robbed at gunpoint in that park in 2007 by a gold tooth thug wearing a hoodie. It happed on MLK day. I guess it was his way of celebrating. And I wasn't even in the forest. I was walking in broad daylight on the paved area that circles the forest.

Good They got them but they only going to get out to do more crime. The only way to stop it is to cut off a finger with each offense. I bet they would cut crime down to a low minimum.
