Memphis is not trashy, although certain parts def need some majot help. The crime rates are extreme, but that doesn't mean that it can't become better. Education along with moral values(value of life)is the key. There is tough times with unemployment, but that doesn't give anyone the right to take it out on someone else. Money isn't a legit reason to kill- period!! Life is more valuable than a few dollars. And if the racisim would quite it would help a ton. There are black communities that are not bad, that have a good foundation, not high crime. There are white, mexican, asian communities in the same boat. Some are good, some are not, It's not a race thing it's more of a value system and education!!!! The color of someone's skin does not make them "more violent" or "more sept to being poor"....talk about ignorance!!!!

The politically incorrect truth is that any city 70% black is going to be like this. It's just a fact. As long as the gang members are shooting each other I have no problem with it. And that's what most of it is - thugs killing thugs. Take that out of the statistics and the murder rate is not that bad.
