MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The famous Peabody Hotel is alive with the sights and sounds of the holiday season. The official tree lighting ceremony took place November 25, 2011.
Local church and school choirs performed holiday classics all afternoon.
Gingerbread duck cookies were passed out and hotel workers collected donations for the Mid-South Food Bank. Santa Claus also made an appearance.
