MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Two people were taken to the hospital Friday morning after an SUV hit them on Poplar Avenue in front of East High School.

The accident occurred around 7:20 a.m. on Friday, February 22, when a black SUV hit two victims, one being a juvenile. Both victims were transported in non-critical condition.

The driver of the SUV remained on the scene, and did not receive a citation from Memphis police.

It was unclear if the victims were using a crosswalk at the time of the accident or if heavy morning fog was a factor.
