MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The trouble keeps mounting for Pinnacle Airlines. Not only is the regional carrier seeking bankruptcy protection, but its pilots also accuse the company of bad business practices.

The pilots protested in a picket line on April 11, saying Pinnacle is often late cutting their checks. They also claim the company makes payroll errors that result in pilots not getting their base pay, their overtime pay and their per diem.

The pilots say that can add up to thousands of dollars missing from a single paycheck. In some cases, the errors go back nearly two years. Now, they say, enough is enough.

"What we need is the payroll to come through," stated Tom Wychor, Chairman of Pilots for Pinnacle Airlines. "Our pilots are to be paid properly without major failures and we haven't seen that yet."

Pinnacle responded to its pilots' allegations saying it has been experiencing sporadic pilot pay errors. The airline blames a new payroll system and new processes used to consolidate payroll activities for pilots.

The company says it's taking the situation very seriously and is working quickly to correct errors and improve its processes.
