MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police are asking for information on an ID theft they began investigating on Monday, October 24, 2011.

When they arrived at the scene near the 6000 block of Primacy Parkway, police were told that a suspect obtained a fake ID in the name of a 95-year-old female victim. Police say the suspect also stole several of the victim's checks and has been cashing them at a Memphis-area Cash Express.

Police do not know how the suspect got the victim's checks.

Police are asking anyone who can identify the woman, possibly the suspect, in the picture included in this story to call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
