MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Friends and family are remembering a popular Memphis blues and jazz singer.

Di Anne Price has passed away. Friends say she had a stroke a few months ago and had been in poor health ever since.

According to the bio on her website, she's been carrying on the Memphis tradition of bringing "real down home, close to the bone, genuine Memphis music to the world for 20 years."

You've probably heard her sing at Mollie Fontaine Lounge, Itta Bena, Huey's, or a number of other Memphis hot spots.

Friends and fans will raise a toast in her honor Thursday night at Mollie Fontaine Lounge at 8 p.m.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
