MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police say a pregnant 20 year old was shot on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, around 12:15 a.m. in an apartment near the University of Memphis campus.
Police say they found the victim on the scene at the Campus Heights Apartments at 3341 Southern Avenue and she was taken to The MED in non-critical condition.
The woman was shot after someone knocked on her door and no one answered. After that, several shots were fired into the apartment. 12 people, including 5 children, were in the apartment at the time of the shooting.
More bullets were fired into another apartment in the area, but none of the 4 people in it were hurt.
Police say there were no witnesses to the shooting and no suspect information is available.
