I HEARD THE NEWS ON THURSDAY EVENING ABOUT NESBIT PROBLEM THEY HAD ABOUT INTERNET SERVICE.WELL ONE LADY TOUCH MY HEART WHEN SHE SAID THEY HAD TO LEAVE THEIR HOME AND GO SOME WHERE ELSE TO GET INTERNET SERVICE, NOT ONLY THAT THE CHILDREN COULD NOT DO THEIR HOMEWORK FOR SCHOOL WITH OUT HAVING TO GO TO OTHER LOCATIONS.I HAVE A POSSIBLE SOLUTION FOR THE PROBLEM THAT THE NESBIT RURAL AREAS COMMUNITIES ARE HAVING. It's not just Mississippi. I am in Memphis, we pay for AT&T phone & internet. Internet has been sporadic since I got my first laptop 5 yrs ago. Has been worse past 4 months, internet out 16-20 hrs a day, so I have to go to McDonalds or Kroger to use their wi-fi. During the times I have internet, it goes on & off, sometimes every 30 seconds to 2 minutes. AT&T repeatedly schedules technicians to come out, but I wait for days & they never show up. One tech that did come 6 wks ago, said we don't have the extra pair of wires they install in new construction to dedicate to internet. He was unable to repair since we don't have the proper wiring. He said if I still have a problem, call back, which I do several times a week, spending anywhere from 35 minutes to 2 hrs at a sitting on phone or hold with AT&T, at which point they transfer me to repair dept & I get cut off with a recording saying "AT&T is unable to complete this call, please hang up & redial the toll free number you dialed," so I hafta start all over again after 2 hrs on the phone. As I write this, I see my connection has gone out again, so I will have to keep this open till I see connection come back, so I can submit it. AT&T will faithfully & gladly send the bill, but they refuse to get your coverage working. Phone service is crappy, static-y, and we pick up radio on the phone (commercials or rap music.) And I hafta go out once or twice a day to use my computer elsewhere.
