I agree with the requirement. People don't want to live or let their children go to school in Shelby County but don't have a problem with coming across county lines to get the Shelby County money. There are alot of qualified Shelby County teachers who will do just fine teaching our children. Since you wanted to move away, teach where you live! They should also put a tax on people who work in Shelby County but do not live here.

Hey, it's nice the MCS didn't have a residency requirement but teh MCS is no longer an entity. There is one school district in town & that is teh County. The County has a residency rerquirement for employees. End of story!

Not a hard choice here. Dust off the ole resume. The commission given you five years to find another job. There always a demand for teachers
