Some actually advertise what brand of high dollar sound system they have installed, right on their window in big bold lettering! It is ego with a side of gullible and dumb.

@libertyfirst: did you not read the entire article? they are conducting patrols thru the area already. Cops can't be everywhere all the time, so it is up to each individual to use a little common sense when leaving their vehicle parked in an area known for vehicle break-ins. Yes, in an ideal world we should be able to leave any of our belongings unsecured but people must realize that they are responsible for their own safety & security.
