MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A suspected robber is behind bars after an early Tuesday morning police chase through east Memphis.
The pursuit began around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30 as the suspect was headed northbound on I-240 near Poplar. Police chased the suspect onto westbound Sam Cooper Boulevard, and the vehicle stopped between Highland and Tillman. Officers took the suspect into custody without further incident.
Investigators say the robbery occurred in south Memphis, near Lucy Avenue and Latham Street.
Charges are still pending against the suspect, whose identity has not yet been released by police.
