MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - An armed robbery suspect was arrested after he returned to the scene of the crime and was spotted by the victim.

On Tuesday, July 3, the suspect came up behind a woman outside a business on the 2300-block of Lamar Avenue, pointed a gun to her head and demanded her purse. When she turned around, the suspect hit her in the head with the gun and ran away with her purse.

The next day, the victim saw 22-year-old Isaiah Hopson walking out of a convenience store next door from where the robbery took place and recognized him as the person who robbed her. She called Memphis police and Hopson was taken into custody.

Isaiah Hopson was charged with Aggravated Robbery and was booked at the Shelby County Jail on $75,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court July 12.
