MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Fire broke out at a midtown Memphis business Wednesday morning.
Firefighters were called to S & S Custom Cabinets shortly after the shop opened for business. They say it took a while to contain the fire because of the heavy smoke.
"When we arrived on the scene it was engulfed in heavy smoke. We initially made an interior attack on the structure, but due to the fire spreading to the roof area we pulled our firefighters out and went defensive," stated Lt. Wayne Cooke with the Memphis Fire Department. "There was a collapse in the structure; no firefighter injuries or injuries to civilians or workers."
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
