MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A Georgia man is in Memphis Friday to spread awareness about Alzheimer's.

Jack Fussell is running across the country in memory of his father and family members who have died from the disease. He stopped at Methodist Hospice in east Memphis Friday afternoon.

His journey started in Savannah, Georgia and will end more than 2,600 miles away in Monterrey, California. He says every step is worth it.

Jack's next stop is Little Rock, Arkansas. He's expected to complete his journey within the next 6 months.

With all the miles travelled, he hopes to raise at least $250,000 for the Alzheimer's Association. For more information or to make a donation, go to www.alz.org.
