MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The driver of a motorcycle killed in a Frayser crash Thursday night has been identified as an MLGW employee, the second worker for the utility company to be killed in a bike crash in the last two weeks.

The crash occurred just before 6 p.m. on Thomas Street at Floyd Avenue on March 22. According to investigators, a 2004 Nissan Xterra was driving southbound on Thomas when it veered into oncoming traffic, hitting a northbound 1990 Chevy Camaro. The Camaro lost its left rear tire and spun around, hitting a 2006 Harley Davidson that had also been driving northbound on Thomas.

The driver of the motorcycle, 50-year-old Dexter Davis, and his passenger, 44-year-old Angela Jones, were both thrown from the bike. Davis was transported to The MED and pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Jones was also transported to The MED and died the following morning.

The driver of the Nissan, 20-year-old Jeremy Nilson, was cited for Failure to Devote Full Attention and Financial Responsibilities.

On March 14, 35-year MLGW employee Michael Moore was killed on his motorcycle during his morning commute to work.
