DYERSBURG, TN (abc24.com) - More stolen guns are in the hands of criminals and on the streets of the Mid-South after burglars broke into a Dyersburg business and stole nearly a dozen guns.

Thieves breaking into Cycle Werkz made off with a small arsenal, taking 11 guns ranging from .380 caliber, 9mm, 40 caliber and 45 caliber.

Dyersburg police say they received an alarm call at the business around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, August 6.

Cory Needham has owned Cycle Werkz for more than 11 years. He has plans to reinforce and change the locks on his gun safe and in his store, "All steel cases, with lock and tops, barricaded the doors, windows that are not on the front of the building, I'm putting steel over those."

The glass in the window the suspects broke to get into the store has already been replaced with steel.

Needham says the break-in not only cost him a sense of security, it's going to cost him about $5,000.

Anyone with information can call CrimeStoppers at (731) 285-TIPS (8477), or the Dyersburg Police Department at 311, or (731) 285-1212.
