@ReligionStinks - cops kill more people than dogs. Can we sterilize and chip them?

@libertyfirst - You've got the flick! When an animal is surrendered at Memphis Animal Shelter, they often go STRAIGHT TO THE KILL ROOM without passing go. If your animal is picked up by an animal control officer, the shelter will keep it in healthy hold for 72 hours and then IT BECOMES THE PROPERTY OF MEMPHIS ANIMAL SERVICES and they can do anything the damn well please. And guess what decision they make approximately 80% of the time?

@ReligionStinks - How many more bully breed dogs have to die because of ignorant people like you??? Pit Bulls are not born vicious - PEOPLE make them vicious either by training them so or abusing them. ANY DOG can be vicious under certain circumstances. Just how many deaths by Pit Bulls were reported last year in Memphis, and please pray tell where I can see that information for myself!!

The ordinance does not go nearly far enough. Breeds prone to viciousness, such as Pit Bulls, should be BANNED. Miami and some other big cities have done it successfully. If a dog attacks someone it may be too late at that point. Memphis is too poor and backward to allow ownership of vicous dogs. How many more people have to get killed?????

We're the government. We own you. We own your family members (pets). We will take them from you and sterilize and chip them. We will make you pay for it. Submit or else.
