@tsktsk....Trust me, most DeSoto countians are so astute to the woes of Memphis they hold their nose when crossing the state line to work here, as well as bringing a sack lunch to avoid contributing to the confiscatory sales taxes here....can't say I blame them!

Trust me, Mississippi drivers in general are "undesirable" to everyone in TN. So if, my money is undesirable to you then I'll just keep here. Thanks for the heads up!

@ So Haven -- First - the local government doesn't care what the 'citizens' think - just shut up and pay up, as far as they are concerned. Second - a BIG cash cow for Southaven/Desoto - if it is a good shopping destination - then the good people will spend their money there, possibly forestalling a general tax increase because of all of the TN money being spent there instead of in TN. TN and the Memphis Area should be so lucky - they see their main source of revenue property taxes and traffic tickets. And if vermin enter your city/county and create crime (real crime - with a victim - not the BS dictates of people that think they know what is best for you and yours) - anyway, if crime is committed, deal with it THEN, don't generalize that all that would enjoy a new shopping destination are 'undesirables'....

Why didn't the city poll the citizens of Southaven??? We already get enough undesirables down here from across the TN border. All this will do is bring more crime and WAAAAYYYY more traffic than the citizens care for.
