Shot Fired in Attempted South Memphis Business Robbery

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police are searching the area around a S. Third business after two men attempted to rob the store, fired a weapon and ran away.

Police were called to the Dollar General store on the 4700-block of S. Third just before 11 a.m. on April 27. Investigators stated that two black males wearing masks walked in with guns and one shot was fired. Nothing was taken and nobody was injured.

The two suspects ran away before officers arrived. A search is underway of the area with the assistance of K-9 officers.

One suspect was last seen wearing a green hoodie; the second suspect was wearing a blue and red striped shirt. Anyone with information on this incident should call CrimeStoppers at (901) 528-CASH (2274).
