Why is he still in office, because everyone involved is crooked and taking advantage of Southaven's citizens. It doesn't take a genius to see that Davis isn't a one-man show, who independently took advantage of the system. This crap has been going on for a long time. It's much more likely that the entire government structure in Southaven is corrupt from head to toe, which is exactly why nothing is being done to correct any of the obvious problems.

Well, the beat goes on! Eventually, Greg Davis is fast approaching an annual salary of $200,000 a year! How can so much money paid to Mayor Davis fall through the cracks? If he has an annual salary of over $150,000, why did the taxpayers of Southaven have to HELP him pay back even one penny? And why is it taking the MS State auditor's office so long to charge him! If is evident to everyone (even the Board of Alderman) that he is a thief and a fraud (and a liar).
