SOUTHAVEN, MS (abc24.com) - A group trying to kick Southaven Mayor Greg Davis out of office held a private meeting with the mayor, who is accused of using taxpayer money for his personal expenses.
Oriana Hill with Concerned Citizens for Southaven met with Davis for two hours.
The group is trying to gather enough signatures on a petition to force Davis out.
Hill says the meeting didn't change how she feels about how Davis has handled the investigation into how he spent taxpayer money.
"I still feel the same way I did before, that things were not handled properly," she said. "Specifically I think that not only is the mayor at fault for the expenditure approvals, but I think that the board of aldermen is also going to be held liable."
She said her group will continue the petition to kick Mayor Davis out of office.
