One reason Memphians should pay more is because they elect idiots more than county residents, and should pay the price. All joking aside, there is no practical reason for vehicle inspections. It's just a revenue thing. That's where your anger should be directed, stev.

I spend ALOT of money in Memphis (for convience) that I don't have to. I can sure spend it somewhere else just as easy. Germantown, Southaven, Olive Branch. Memphis needs me ALOT more than I need it.

I would really like to see people who live in Shelby County even try to stay out of Memphis, like Chris Thomas is saying. They ALL work here EVERYDAY. They can't stay out of Memphis because they work here EVERYDAY!!!! So what is the difference between them coming in EVERYDAY with their smoking,"CHECK ENGINE" light on having automobiles, and mine????????? I guess I'm suppose to believe that there is some magical shield that appears when they enter the City limits. Give me a DAMN break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think all the silly council shouls give their saleries to fund Forss pocket. You can drive the streets of Memphis and more houses than not ha from one to upwards of three or four vehicles with Mississippi tags,Why are the cops not stopping and ticketing them. I see the same cars on the streets every day why do cops turn their heads to this. I am almost ready to give my house away to get as fas from the city of Memphis as possible.
