NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Someone stole a Metro Nashville school bus and took it for a ride, parking it at an abandoned business just outside of West Memphis, Ark.

Schools Transportation Director Keith Phillips told WKRN-TV that the bus driver reported the vehicle missing Tuesday morning.

Through an onboard GPS, the district tracked the bus to a parking lot just off Interstate 40 in Crittenden County.

Metro school officials planned to drive to Arkansas to pick up the bus.

Phillips said another bus was dispatched to the driver in Nashville and she was able to pick up her students as scheduled.

Mike Callender, at the Crittenden County Sheriff's Office, said the bus was not damaged other than some paint sprayed on the lens of a security camera.
