MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police took a Ridgeway High School student into custody Tuesday after he was caught with two loaded guns in his car.
Officers received an anonymous tip on Tuesday, October 2 that a 17-year-old student had weapons in his vehicle parked in the school lot. After the principle took the suspect's keys, police found a black duffel bag in the backseat containing a loaded 9mm Ruger, a loaded 9mm Smith & Wesson and a box of ammunition.
The teen was taken to Juvenile Court on two charges of Carrying a Weapon on School Property. The student has also been recommended for expulsion.
