MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A man is behind bars after shooting at two police officers and three security guards in north Memphis over the weekend.

According to the affidavit, two MPD officers were at Thomas Street and Firestone Avenue on Sunday, July 8 when they heard around six gunshots fired. Three security guards saw 21-year-old Tony Johnson running from the area with a gun in his hand, and the guards and officers chased after him.

Johnson was ordered to stop, but he continued to run and turned to fire at the group pursuing him. After a short chase, he was caught with a loaded 9mm in his hand. None of the officers or security guards were injured.

Tony Johnson is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and five counts of Aggravated Assault. He was booked at the Shelby County Jail on $125,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 16.
