MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis Police say a suspect arrested for robbing a fast food restaurant over the weekend has been charged with a second robbery.
Officers were called to the Burger King on the 2600-block of North Hollywood just after 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 21. When they arrived, they were told that a man acting as a customer tried to grab money from the register when the clerk rang up his order. The employee said the man threatened to shoot her, but she didn't see a gun. The suspect fled and drove off in a silver Ford Taurus before police arrived.
Based on the vehicle tag information and suspect description, officers tracked down 45-year-old Dionysius Norfleet and arrested him for Robbery. Investigators also linked Norfleet to the robbery of a Family Dollar store on July 26.
Police suspect Norfleet may be responsible for several other robberies in the area, but no charges have been filed. He is currently being held at the Shelby County Jail on $150,000 bond.
