Suspect Arrested for Drive-By Shooting that Injured Two

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A suspect is in custody for a drive-by shooting that injured two teen boys.

Just before 1:00pm on January 16, 2012, a 1996 grey Chevy Lumina opened fire at a four people standing outside a home on the 5800-block of Jardin Place in Hickory Hill. Two 18-year-old male victims were taken to The MED in critical condition.

Witnesses identified 22-year-old Lamar Jakes as the shooter. Jakes was arrested and charged with four counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder. He is currently being held on $250,000 bond at the Shelby County Jail, and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 26th.
