MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police arrested a man driving around in a stolen semi truck with several boxes of fast food frozen chicken filets, also stolen.
The truck, valued at $20,000, was reported stolen from a business on Elvis Presley Blvd on May 15. A week later on May 22, officers saw a truck matching the description of the stolen semi around Brooks and Third. The vehicle, which had no license plate, was pulled over and identified as the stolen truck.
The driver of the stolen truck, 49-year-old Felix Hall, had a box of frozen chicken breasts from Wendy's, bolt cutters, a cut-open lock and a crack pipe. The box of chicken was tracked to the restaurant, where a manager confirmed several boxes of frozen chicken had been stolen after their freezer was broken into the day before.
Felix Hall is charged with Theft of Property, Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Driving on a Suspended License. He was booked at the Shelby County Jail on $7,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court May 31.
