MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police have arrested a suspect in a shooting at the Westwood Community Center that injured two teens.

The shooting occurred on Friday, January 25 after a fight at Westwood High School carried over to the community center. Four people were in the center's parking lot when they were approached by three others and a fight ensued. One person pulled out a gun and fired at the group of four, hitting two of them.

A 15-year-old male victim was shot in the stomach and was transported to The MED in critical condition. A 17-year-old victim was located at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to his chest and back and airlifted to The MED in critical condition; both victims were later upgraded to non-critical.

The suspect, known to the victims only as 'Nu Nu,' was picked out from a photo line-up and identified as 18-year-old Phillip Lipsey. He was arrested and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault and remains at the Shelby County Jail on a $350,000 bond.

I think that we should make an example out of these idiots lock them up if they shoot people and put them to death if they killed someone instead of housing them for years on the taxpayers dime

@nomercy: I completely agree. These savages need to be put down now..Don't care if they are 15 years old or what they are animals and need to be dealt with as animals.

was the gentleman being mobbed by a crowd of people and thought his life was in danger ? is that why he fired his gun into the crowd ? or is he just some p.o.s. thug who rolled up on some folks and started shooting ? if the last is true then he should be eliminated/terminated done away with. that is the problem with the gun laws in this country- they do not go far enough on eliminating this element from our society. idiots
