MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police arrested and charged a suspect for a fatal shooting on July 4th.
Officers were called to the 2800-block of Kimball Avenue around 11:30 p.m. and found 33-year-old Cornelius Stewart with a gunshot wound. Stewart was pronounced dead on the scene.
Witnesses on the scene identified 21-year-old Raymond Howard as the shooter, and Howard confessed to the shooting after questioned by police.
Raymond Howard was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder. He was booked at the Shelby County Jail on $250,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in court July 9.
