MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A Memphis man is behind bars for raping, mutilating and beating his neighbor in her Raleigh home Monday night.
48-year-old Lynn Crump is charged with Aggravated Rape. According to the police affidavit, Crump went to his 60-year-old neighbor's home around 11 p.m. on Monday, December 3 to visit. After a while she asked him to leave, and Crump hit her in the eye and bound her wrists and ankles with tape. Investigators say Crump then cut her genitals with a small knife and raped her; the victim was struck again in her other eye and held captive until the next morning when Crump left.
Lynn Crump was booked at the Shelby County Jail early Thursday morning, where he remains on a $500,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court December 7.
