Suspect In Custody After Deadly Stabbing

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Police have a suspect in custody for the stabbing murder that happened on Sunday, October 30, 2011, around 2:45 a.m. in the 3000 block of Faxon Avenue in the Jackson/Berclair area of town.

Memphis police say they found 29-year-old Frank Green-Scott lying on the front porch of a home on Faxon and bleeding from his side when they arrived on the scene. Green-Scott was suffering from a stab wound and taken to The MED in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say Green-Scott was in an argument with someone he knew when the 29-year-old suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed him several times.

Police say the suspect is in custody, but charges have not yet been filed.
