Suspect Sought for East Memphis Shooting

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Police are searching for the suspect who shot a man in east Memphis Tuesday night.

Officers were called to the 1400-block of Briarcrest Avenue at Poplar around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4. When they arrived they found a 23-year-old man had been shot. The victim was transported to The MED in extremely critical condition.

Investigators say the victim was walking in the area when he was shot by an unidentified male suspect, who ran away before police arrived on the scene.
