MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police are still looking for information on the suspect who shot and nearly killed a man outside a club last weekend.

Officers were called to Mariscos El Gallo Giro Club on the 3000-block of Lamar Avenue at I-240 around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 16. A 31-year-old male suspect was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to The MED where he remains in critical condition.

Investigators say the victim was leaving the club when he was suddenly confronted by a Latino male with a gun. The suspect is described as 5'5" and 170 lbs, last seen wearing a white t-shirt and driving a brown sedan, possibly a Ford Taurus.

The first step in NOT getting shot at a 'club' on Lamar, is to NOT go to a 'club' on Lamar.
