Suspect Wanted for Attempted Home Burglary near Overton Park

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police need help identifying a suspect who tried to break into a midtown home, then briefly stole a vehicle.

Home video surveillance shows the suspect attempting to gain entry to the home, located on the 2200-block of Jefferson Avenue, just after midnight on Tuesday, October 9. After the suspect was unsuccessful he stole a vehicle instead, only to abandon it a few blocks away.

The suspect is described as a black male between 25-35 years old, medium complexion, with cornrow braids, a mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark shoes.
