MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police are looking for a bumbling would-be robber who tried to hold up a McDonald's drive-thru.

The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18 at the McDonald's on Jackson Avenue near Macon Road. Officers say a suspect pushed open the drive-thru window and pointed a gun at an employee, who then ran to the front of the store to call police.

While still in the drive-thru window, the suspect struggled with his gun as the magazine fell out onto the floor. The suspect ran away empty-handed.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20's, around 6'2", 180 lbs, and last seen wearing all black clothing and a blue bandana over his face.

Anyone with information on this suspect should call CrimeStoppers at (901) 528-CASH (2274). You can also submit your tip at 528cash.org, or text the word AWARD to 274637 (CRIMES). You will remain anonymous, and you could be eligible to receive a cash reward.
