MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police are searching for the suspect that robbed a Raleigh-area credit union at gunpoint Monday morning.
The robbery happened at the LG&W Federal Credit Union on the 3000-block of Covington Pike at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 4. Investigators state the lone male suspect was waiting for employees outside and forced them at gunpoint into the building to open the bank's vault.
After ordering the bank employees to the floor, the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from the vault and fled east on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male around 25-30 years old, 5'9"-5'10", 170-175 pounds, and last seen wearing a black and white bandana over his face, black clothing, and a black wavy shoulder-length wig.
