Suspect in Fatal Southwest Memphis Shooting in Court

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The suspect in a deadly weekend shooting faced a judge Monday morning.

30-year-old Keenal Todd was arrested Saturday, June 9 after a witness identified him as the killer. Todd is accused of shooting his cousin, 31-year-old Cantrell Todd, and injuring 43 year-old Curtis Jordan.

Memphis police say they were found in the parking lot at Lucille's Bar and Grill, located on the 4400-block of South Third, around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Todd was pronounced dead on the scene; Jordan was taken to The MED in critical condition.

Keenal Todd has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Attempted Second Degree Murder. He's being held at the Shelby County Jail on a $1 million bond.

UPDATE (6/13): Charges were dropped against Keenal Todd due to insufficient evidence to prosecute.
