TUPELO, MS (abc24.com) - Police in Tupelo, Mississippi have arrested four suspects in a string of business burglaries in at least three southern states.
53-year-old Clifton Mitchell, 28-year-old Ricky Mitchell, 26-year-old Clinton Cullin and 23-year-old Anthony Cordell were apprehended at a Tupelo hotel where police found several thousands of dollars in cash, as well as tools used to commit the burglaries.
More than a dozen businesses in DeSoto County were burglarized in early March, mainly pay day loan and quick cash shops. The suspects would break into one business, and then cut through the walls to get into another next door.
Investigators believe the suspects are tied to similar burglaries in other parts of Mississippi, as well as in Alabama and Tennessee.
